    Thanks for your interest in Vienna MIR, Clapaucius.

    Vienna MIR is a stand-alone application, running on one system (... which doesn't mean that you can't run a DAW an the same computer, of course). This will stay like that for the near future.

    Apart from that, we are working on Vienna MIR Pro, which will introduce quite a few new features and approaches. You will be able to use audio inputs (opposed to the principle of hosting VSTi's _within_ the application), thus you will be able to spread the computational load across several CPUs.
