    [*-)]: has anyone seen any good online orcheration courses?? i think its time for a refreasher class. last week i found my self refering to my text book
    ( from college over ten yrs years old). unless one has constant exposer to scores and examples its hard to grow!.

    what I´m really missing over the net, more than orchestration courses (which can also be find on books) are good tutorials on "orchestra-orientated MIDI sequencing".

    I already know some of the usual ways to program stuff and such, but a lot of times I fid myself wondering "how will the rest of the people clobber this prob?"

    I'm about to receive (after more than one month an a half of waiting time) "The Guide to MIDI Orchestration" from barnes and noble. I'll let you know how it goes, I haven't seen any other book of web site dedicated exclusively to midi orchestration... maybe it is time to search more exhaustively. [:D]

    They're a well established "Net" university with many endorsements. I just started working with the Writing For Strings course and my first impressions are that it is very thorough and competent.

    Check out Alexander University. I know they have three levels of String writing courses. I believe the courses now includes a 1 min string quartet and 1 min of string orchestra recording of your music by Live musicians (remember what they look like [[;)]] ).
