Reverb and Sympathetic Resonance not Working
-
I've had a rather weird experience of this. For me, it isn't about the buffer size, it's more about the EXACT number I choose. It seems both reverb and SSR work alright if I choose, let's say 256 samples. But if I choose a less common 352, for example, they won't work. 512 on the other hand works... I'm using 64-bit Windows 7 and Sonar 8.5.

Hello Paramite,
You are right, both the Convolution Reverb and the Vienna Imperial Convolution Reverb need a buffer setting with the power of 2 (128, 256, 512...).
There is an update for Vienna Imperial in the pipeline with an additional algorithmic reverb. Should be available soon.

Hello foxcub,
just to aoid misunderstandings: You are using the latest version of our software, the latest version of the eLCC software on Win XP (hopefully the latest service pack!), with an ASIO soundcard set to a buffer size of 128. Right?
And both the Reverb and the Sympathetic Resonance are still not working in the Vienna Imperial.
Thanks for your confirmation.
Best,
Paul

Hi Foxcub,
Thanks for the update.
Just a quick test: Turn up sympathetic resonance all the way, press any low "C" with the lowset velocity and keep it pressed, then play a loud C major staccato chord or a high C - you should hear the resonance of the pressed low C.
Just to check whether the effect is not too subtle....
Best,
Paul
