Human Playback for Finale 2009
Hi, I'm somewhat of a newcomer to using sample libraries, so please bare with me. I recently purchased the orchestral strings bundle with the intent of using it as a plug-in for finale 2009. I was aware upon my purchase that there would be several free downloadable patches and software. Unfortunately, I did not realize at the time that the human playback patch for finale was only available for Vienna SE purchases. Is it possible to purchase this patch separately? If not, is there any other way of establishing a connection between the notation symbols in finale with the orchestral strings I and II without key switch notes? Any information that anyone might have on this topic would be very helpful. Thanks! -Mike

Hello Mike!
If you want to, I can send you the Special Edition Human Playback Preferences (HPP). You can build your own VI matrices based on these settings. This should work well with the Orchestral Strings, but please keep in mind that you will only use a small part of what the Orchestral Strings offer.
You can also build custom VI matrices and make custom HPP for them. If you choose to do that, I recommend using only the H-SPAN of a VI-matrix. Finale 2009+2010 sometimes has problems in sending two MIDI switches.
As far as I could see the MakeMusic Team fixed some problems in the HPP system for Finale 2011. So there might be HPP for more of our products for Finale 2011.
Best regards,
Andi

Hi Andi! Thanks for getting back to me on this topic, and thank you very much for offering to send me the SE HPP! That would be great! Do you have access to my contact information or should I send you an email first? I honestly still need some time to learn how to set up a VI matrix, but thank you for the advice as well. Is it possible to set up the VI matrix with my own HPP settings on Vienna Ensemble? Thanks again, Mike
