  • MIR and Audio

    Hello

Just a quick question about MIR, I've been waiting on this one for a while... Can you route audio tracks into MIR now? For example, if I wanted to record a guitar track and place it inside MIR. I can't see a mention of this feature, so I'm guessing not - but it would be very cool to allow for audio to be routed out of your DAW and into MIR via ReWire or something similar. I wasn't sure if they added it in V1.1 - unfortunately I used up my demo a long time ago so can't download and check myself

If it has this feature, I'd buy in a heartbeat.

    Best,
    D

  • Thanks for your interest in Vienna MIR!

Audio inputs are amongst the features we have planned for Vienna MIR Pro, which should be ready around the end of this year. Right now, the only way to bring "conventional" audio (opposed to signals derived from virtual instruments) into MIR is to use a software sampler.

  • I'm really excited about what the MIR Pro could do. In thinking about how MIR could work for me now, I decided that I'm going to stick with Altiverb until MIR Pro comes out. But the possibility to get audio I/O to MIR will be of interest to really all musicians, even those who mix Pop-Rock, Jazz (and anything else) professionally. Great algo reverbs do sound great, but being able to put drums & amped instruments in the same "room" will give mixers even more L/R, and especially Front/back dimention to work in.

Can't wait (and of course, the sooner the better)!!! [B]
