     Hi

In the Matrix programing window theer is a PCELL cell. You can drag an instrument to this PCELL but what is it for. Cant find anything about this in the manual..

  • SINCE the forum search function doesn't work right now...

I asked the same question recently:

  • I guess the best answer would be that it is a cell that plays togheter with all other cell in the matrix.

I should have listen to what it did insted of asking q:s

  • It's always useful to have "local knowledge". The fact of what the PCell simply does, as opposed to creative and artistic uses of it, is worthy of discussion. I have not found a creative use for the PCell yet (for my music). I'm sure I will at some point.

LOL. I was just working on a piece and I had a cool viola passage that wasn't quite doing it for me... I was using a stack of symphonic and app legato violas -- and it needed some edge -- so I added some chamber Vc  -1oct in the Pcell, mixed back to 70 and I increased the rdl to give it some bite... perfect for the 2 bars I was trying to solve. Would I ever write this for the real guys? Probably not for this phrase. But this isn't real, it's VSL. As always, write to the samples for best results. 😊

  • PCell is for parallel cell. It's always active.
