  • decouple question

Is there any way for my host (Sonar) to remember my VST settings if Vienna Ensemble VST instances are in decouple mode? I have to use decouple on all my instances so when I save my Host (Sonar) does not hang. But sometimes my program crashes and after I reload Sonar (with the decouple settings already on) I have to go in one by one and reload all my VSTs. A big time waster when I have deadlines. Thanks

  • Why not save an .mframe or .viframe from VE Pro?

  • Here is the problem. I did as you said and saved metaframes for my slaves. After my computer crashed I rebooted with my Hosts 12 VSTs for Vienna all decoupled. I then opened Vienna Ensemple on my Slaves, loaded up the metaframes which then loaded all my samples. Then on my host, when I activate the Vienna - it then creates a NEW instance on my slaves rather than connect to the right instance on the Slave. So how do I get my hose (Sonar) to connect to the corresponding Instance? Also - I can't find out what a vrframe is or how to use it? Nothing in the manual and I read through all the posts and still can't figure it out. thanks for your help!

  • Ahh - Clicking preserve instance did the trick! I think its all working now

  • One more issue I'm having. It seems that having my Hosts VSTs decoupled does not keep it from trying to connect when I save my session. In other words.. when one of my slave computers Vienna Pro crashed - my host computer was not able to save my session because it was still trying to communicate with the slave even though it was decoupled
