Hi Martin
I know that it is not VSL that crashed, but VSL made Logic crash as Logic is not crashing if VSL server is not running
Looks like you have to talk with the Logic people to see the interaction between Logic and VSL Pro server

Hi Martin
Thanks for your mail.
I did some test this morning.
You had a very good evaluation, it is the Compressor plug-ins that is causing trouble
I remove the Compressor and EQ and change AUX from stereo to surround ; Logic DID NOT crash !!!! hourra !!!!
Then I have tried an AUX that had only an EQ ---> there is no problem
Do you have contact with Logic people to report the problem ?
Can you also help me on the two following questions :
1) What should I do with the panning with a 5.1 recording ?
- Do I leave a full left to right stereo in the viframe and I set the 5.1 panning on the AUX in Logic ?
- Do I place the instrument in the viframe and I set the 5.1 panning on the AUX in Logic ?
- Do I ??????
2) What should I do with the panning with a stereo recording ?
- Do I leave a full left to right stereo in the viframe and I set the stereo panning on the AUX in Logic ?
- Do I place the instrument in the viframe and I set full left to right stereo panning on the AUX in Logic ?
- Do I ??????
Thanks again
Best

2) What should I do with the panning with a stereo recording ?
Most orchestral music tend to be placed in L/R channels, so usually you'd just powerpan it normally. If you have any specific panning needs (solo instrument in center channel, some esoteric choir in the Ls/Rs) you'd pan those in Logic.
