how to acces VST plugs on mac ?

maybe there are some settings/preferences I missed... but how to acces VST plugs in VEP on mac (running as rtas in Protools) ?. There are only AU showing up in the list 

any help is very appreciated

Use the AU plugs in VE Pro on the mac. Is there a reason you don't want to use AU plugs? In VE Pro (mac) AU plugs work perfectly.

I have some older plugs only available as VST, that´s the reason
