    If you make the recommended velocity xfade change for the VSL SE Harp patch (as recommended in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" document), you end up with no dynamic control at all.  A passage containing a crescendo from ppp to ff plays without any discernible difference in volume.  Is this because the Harp counts as a percussion instrument?

    Hello Mike!

    You are right. In this respect the harp works like a percussion instrument. Velocity X-Fade does not make much sense for it and is not intended. If you just keep Vel X-Fade turned off crescendi and diminuendi will work fine.
