To chime in: I agree, the ONLY reason word builder was even included in something like EWQL choir is because making the choir sing the stock Latin phrases makes it sound a little more realistic than just OOh and AAh pads. However if the OOH and AAH sounded realistic to begin with then 90% of people wouldn't give a rat's ass about having word builder and I'm one of them.
As long as the new VSL Choir is absolutely stunning in its OOHS and AAHS then it will be worth it and I will be one of the first buyers....
Keep in mind to be "stunning" it has to:
1. sample legato intervals realistically which to date has been the weakest part of any choir
2. have staccatos and ability to go "epic" such as perhaps crescendos etc(sadly this is the one area I doubt VSL choir will be strong in as VSL in general seems to be often more geared towards the stage composer rather than cinematic/film composers but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised)
