NOTION SLE Special Edition Problems

Just purchased NOTION SLE and wanted to find some answers to some problems I am having with it. I purchased VSL Special Edition (standard) v2.0 during the last year and have it installed on my Mac Pro hard drive. I purchased the DVDs not the download. My first problem is that the solo violin is set to "legato" in the VSL Player, and I want "sustain." I went to the player and changed from legato to sustain 5a to 1a, but when I returned to NOTION SLE, it reverted back to "legato." How can I change a setting in the VSL Player and have it stay that way for NOTION SLE playback? Secondly, the shortcuts for SEQUENCER OVERLAY (Tab key) "shorten/lengthen" duration do not work. Shortcuts to changes in velocity in the piano roll work well. I am impressed with NOTION SLE. Find it much better than Finale or Sibelius. Johann

Legato ...

do you have a slur over the music phrase?

If yes, that would trigger the legato patch !

Without Slur you would get Sustain patch !

Alain: Thank you so much for your help. I didn't know that slurs automatically activated the "legato" articulation. But, after further study and some help from Lubo at NOTIONmusic.com, I not only find this true but he also said that the VSL legato patch is "monophonic," meaning that it can only play one note at a time. Good to know. I also tried some trills, but since I only purchased the first Special Edition DVD (standard), that articulation isn't included. Well, not to have it play back is one thing, but what happened was that after passing over the note I had placed the trill above, it also shut off the audio sound. Nothing would play back until I rebooted the computer and opened the file again. Mysterious..........lol Thanks again Alain Johann
