     I am wondering if the download instruments are the same samples as in the DVD sets, just fewer patches, or are they completely new samples?

    same samples, half tone mapped, a selection of patches from the DVD collections to extend the special edition .

    exception type 1: trumpet Bb and bassoon 2 are not in the DVD collections

    exception type 2: concert guitar, overdrive, upright bass are download only

    exception type 3: soprano choir is a subset of the upcoming choir DVD collection
