    i'm hearing a loud release sample at the end of my long legato midi notes (solo violin). the legato note will stop playing before the midi note finishes, then at the end of the midi note, i hear a release sample. any ideas? thanks in advance.

    Yes. Use a sustain instead.

    Legato samples are not looped. If you hold the note until it stops and then release it you will trigger the release sample.

    You can:

    -turn off release samples

    -or re-trigger the note before it ends

    -or crossfade to a sustain patch, but that will cause some phasing as you crossfade

    Best thing to do is to re-trigger the note or use a sus patch.

    I don't know if this is what's going on, but I've noticed something like that can happen when I use a long note for a keyswitch. Make sure if you have any keyswitch notes that they're as short as possible.
