  • Adjusting Settings in VE Pro with Logic Fader Objects

Can this be done? Can a fader object created within Logic be assigned to, for example, the volume slider of a given channel within VE Pro's Master Bus?

Usually I attach a channel strip assigned to a plug-in to a monitor object. Then I move a slider in the plug-in window which generates a monitor message, hence I can see the message channel and number to which the slider responds.

But that seems to work only for Inserts at the top of the strip. (This is great, by the way, to find out which inserted VSL Convolution Reverb setting or PowerPan reacts to what Fader message). But when I move a VE Pro / instance slider, no monitor message is generated.

  • Also, I know about right-click, then assign, but that doesn't seem to work on the Master Bus and volume settings in VE Pro's own mixer. Right-clicking resets the slider.

  • At this point, automation only works in one direction (from host to server), not the other way around.
