I am wondering if VSL will be releasing a version of MIR that uses ethernet for the MIDI/AUDIO the same way as in Vienna Ensemble Pro. Also, what MIDI apps are people using to connect between sequencing computer and MIR computer.

Hi Leif,
Thanks again for your interest.
Like mentioned several times before, we have plans for a "Vienna MIR Pro" which will bring many additional features like the networking features of VE Pro. This will most likely be a separate product, but there will be reasonable upgrade paths from Vienna MIR to Vienna MIR Pro. - No quotable release date up to now, though.
Kind reargds,
I understand than VSL have an ethernet version (like VE Pro) of MIR in the pipeline. Imagine if it could be configured on a machine on its own but connected to a sepate sample machine via ethernet: 1st machine (sequencer), second machine (VSL sample player or VE Pro type application), 3rd machine (MIR) all connected via ethernet! Selfishly speaking, then I could keep my current sample machine (dual Xeons with 32 gigs RAM but not i7) and just connect to a new MIR only machine via ethernet. WOW - knowing VSL, this may be a possible arrangement of MIR Pro!!!
