  • PLEASE HELP!!! Can I de-install VEPro to re-install an older version - the latest WILL NOT WORK...

I really need to install an older version of VEPro that was working - this latest build is a disaster! I can't seem to get it to not drop notes on my host computer using DP7 and LASS. The older version was working perfectly. When am I going to learn...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

How do I de-install since it won't allow me to install an older version if a newer one is on the machine?

PLEASE HELP - IN THE MIDDLE OF A PROJECT AND IT"S CHOKING TO DEATH!!!

  • Hello Rob,

did you use the VE PRO Uninstaller? This should remove all files and let you install an older version.

  • I noticed that in addition to the uninstaller I had to use (at least on the Mac platform) a program called "Appzapper" to find at least 1 additional VePro-related file that wasn't auto-deleted, before I could downgrade - until then it still acted like a newer version was still installed (perhaps someone else could simply detail what that extra file is one must delete that isn't caught by the uninstaller?) - robjohn99 MacPro (early 2009) with 12 gigs RAM, VEPro, Snow Leopard 10.6.2

  • It might be "/Library/Application Support/VSL/vsldaemon2".

  • I'm also unable to completely uninstall a newer build on the mac and reintsall an older build, since "a newer version of this software already exists" (states the "older" installer)

I manually removed the directory   "/Library/Application Support/VSL/" (uninstaller tool did not remove this)

I removed the .vsl. plist files

I emptied trash, restarted. All the normal stuff.

Any suggestions as to how to completely remove all traces of VE Pro so that I can install an older build?

    Thanks.

it appears that the mac uninstaller does not remove

    /Library/Application Support/VSL

    etc.

manually removed all files, I can now install older version.
