Here is a collection of bugs i experienced with build 4686. I have had some of these in earlier versions.
- VE Pro stops responding. Already reported earlier, though my description might have been misleading. What happens is, that the 32-bit interface and all its instances stop responding. No sound. Spinning beach ball. After a while it works fine again. Now, the longer i work on a project, the longer the non responsive periods get. At first it's only about a second. After two hours or so it's up to twenty seconds. In my 32-bit instances i have mainly Kontakt 3.5 instruments and a few VSL instruments loaded. So there might be a connection to Kontakt.
- Hanging notes. Affects VSL instruments as well as others. Seldomly after CPU spikes, and nearly always after the dropouts reported above.
- Kontakt gui isn't drawn. Sometimes all Kontakt instances just give me a white screen instead of the gui. It responds to midi just fine, but i can't change or check any settings.
- Can't minimize instance windows. Sometimes the minimize button will be grayed out. Double clicking the title bar won't minimize the window either. This bug might be connected to the previous one. I think, they always happen both or neither.
- Missing Mouse cursor after using Altiverb. When using the IR Waterfall window in Altiverb (hosted by VE Pro), the mouse cursor will only appear above the waterfall window, nowhere else. Even outside the VE Pro window. To get it back, i have to click on another application window or the desktop. As soon as i get back to any of the VE Pro instances hosted by the same server, the mouse cursor is gone again. If i close Altiverb, minimize the VE Pro window and click somewhere else, the mouse cursor stays until i get back to the waterfall view.
