  • MIR wth VE Pro?

    Hi VSL

I'd love to use MIR, but the way I have my system set up means that my most powerful machine doesn't have an VSL instruments loaded on it. I have a couple of slave PCs which handle the VSL stuff through VE-Pro. These slaves don't have powerful graphics cards, as they're really just for streaming stuff from.

Can MIR access VSL instruments on a network? I suppose it's planned, but not yet available. Any word on when it will be?

    Looks like some cool technology!

    Best,

    D

Thanks for your interest and the nice words!

You hit the nail on the head - networking is actually planned for Vienna MIR Pro, but it's too early for any serious estimations regarding its release. Initially we had planned it for this winter or early spring, but it seems as much of VSL's development power is tied up with VE Pro and related issues at the moment. 8-]

But don't despair - we'll see what we can come up with. 😊

    Kind regards,

  • If you could only add the announced VST support!   [;)]

  • We already did! Vienna MIR 1.1 is in the hands of our Beta-testers, and apart from a few other nifty features, this version includes support for 3rd-party VSTi's (as long as they are 64-bit savvy).

    Kind regards,
