  • Return of the 8 Instance Limit in VE Pro

According to my most recent attempts, I can still connect only 8 instances of VE Pro v4.0 4416 (64-bit) to Logic 9.0.1. I thought this was a solved issue.

When I attempt to connect a ninth instance, it will only work if I disconnect a previous instance  (same as before).

Please clarify VE's current status on this issue.

  • It was fixed after v4.0.4416. Try to use the latest public beta.

  • Hi

How many instances can we connect (in logic 9) with the last public beta

Thanks for this amazing app !!

  • You can connect up to 32 instances at this point, which should be plenty.

  • Thanks for your answer Karel

Actually Logic 9.02 hanging when i try to go higher than 25 instances
    My systeme:
    MacPro Nehalem 2.26 / Leo 10.5.8 / 16 go ram / Logic 9.0.2 / 2 VePro open (32 & 64 bit)
    PC 1 Core2Duo/ Win 7 pro64 / 8 Go ram / 1 VePro open (64 bit)
    PC 2 QuadCore/ Win 7 pro64 / 8 Go ram / 1 VePro open (64 bit)
Gigabit ethernet with a Trendnet Switch and Cat6 ethernet wire

Everything is fine with VePro Plugin in Logic if i stay under 25 instances but when i exceed this number (i need 29 instances) , the VeproPlugin don't see any server (server list window is empty) and i have to force quit logic (eternal spinball)

Did somebody reach 32 instances with Logic ?

  • Interesting point about the combined number of instances.  I have lots of trouble seeing the various servers at times.  The trick i use to see them in my large template is to go into the environment and temporarily delete about 10 or 20 exs instruments.  Then open up the VE Pro to see the servers.  I can then usually see them and load an instrument and then hit undo to reload the exs instruments.

Another more obvious bug that I have a work around is that I can not see any servers if all my servers are "advertising" on the local network.  Try unchecking "advertise" on one of your PC's.  At that point you will probably see the other servers.
