    Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but the sheer magical sound of VSL caught my attention. Now I'm using Cubase and don't have any software to use the .gig samples (I believe that is the format these instruments are in?). I'm reading about the Vienna Ensemble 2 but that Vienna Instruments program looks far more interesting. If I would buy one of the download instruments, what software is supplied with it?

    The Vienna Instrument comes with both the Vienna instruments software and Vienna Ensemble. You can't use VE without VI, but you can do it the other way round.

    It would be a good idea to give some hint as to your computer specs, OS etc. so that you can get the most relevant advice.
