eLicensor stopped working..please help

eLicensor has died on my MacPro host. The mac sees the key in profiler, but I get this message when launching eLicensr Control Center: eLicensor Control - error Application "LCC2" has caused the following error: ??? Then control panel shows no key. This has worked for several weeks. Any help greatly appreciated Mark

This has been a recurring problem of late, and I am increasingly having my Vienna Suite licenses disappear in the middle of a session as well.

But rather than re-tread old ground, I recommend you search the other discussions of recent eLicenser troubles.

There are workarounds, and more recent updates have improved the situation on most if not all platforms.

After checking around, this is apparently a eLicensor issue on the Mac platform. The same key works when I put it in a PC. After restarting AND zapping Pram 3 times, the key came back, only to stop working an hour later. I am using the most current update for the eLic. Sounds like Steinberg needs to work on this.

Please restart your computer and download/install the current version of the eLicenser which is available from here.

Thanks Maya, but as my second post says, I am using this current version. Maybe the next version will be better.

I hope they fix this issue soon. It's a real drag to do the disk permissions and reinstall routine everytme.

Are you running Mac OS X 10.6 by chance? I've noticed that the e-licenser doesn't like my USB hub anymore after upgrading to Snow Leopard. Plugging it directly into the USB jack on the front of the Mac fixes the problem.

Having the same exact problem and have to hit recover to see licenses. Maya gave me a list of things to do, but nothing worked.
