Hi, I am new to Vienna instruments so I have a few questions:
I would like to purchase the Woodwinds and as far as I can see I have two option:
1) Buy each instrument separate as a single instrument download.
2) Buy f.ex Woodwind 1+2 DVD package (which is more expensive and includes a lot I don't need).
I would only need single instruments, not ensembles (f.ex 3 flutes). I would only
need the most "standard" woodwinds (Flute, Oboe, English Horn, Clarinet Bb, Bassoon and Piccolo, Bass Clarinet and Contra Bassoon).
In our studio one composer has the DVD Woodwind packages and another composer has got the individual instruments.
It seems looks like the keyswitches are different for the two versions? Is that correct? And, is there a way to have the keyswitches being the same for the two different ones?
If we are working on a project together, we need to have the same keyswitch layout! would that be possible?
I assume that the samples and the quality of the DVD's vs the individual downloadable instruments are the same?
Thank you.

If you're building your own matrixes, you can program the keyswitches anywhere on the keyboard you want, and even if you're using the presets you still have some flexibility. Or, if you're only using a few artics, forget the keyswitches and change pathces with the mod wheel, or use the speed matrix. The beauty with VSL, aside from sounding fantastic, is that the user has so much flexibility.
Good luck

Thank you! Do you know if there are more keyswitches in the DVD versions or if they are just layed out differently than the single instrument versions? That is, could you change the keyswitch layout from the single instuments to match the DVD versions so that you would be compatible with someone who uses the DVD version?

Mine are the same for all instruments, so i don't have to remember where they are for different instruments.
