Hey VSL forum,
I just recently purchased a new Mac Pro 2.26 Ghz 8-core with 16 GB of ram. I'm currently running a project with two instances of VE Pro (the newest beta, but it also did it in the last beta), each with 16 VSL SE tracks for a total of 32 VSL SE tracks. Now even when I'm playing ONE instrument, I'm getting a ridiculous amount of audible clicks when I play each instrument. The note doesn't drop out at all, it still keeps going, but there is this clicking sound that usually happened when I had a CPU spike on my Macbook Pro. I look at my CPU and it's hardly hitting above 10% and my RAM is only using about 4GB out of the available 16. I'm using DP 7.01 as my sequencer and currently none of my other instruments (which include Kontakt LASS, Ivory, Omnisphere, Stylus, and PLAY) are having this problem.
I don't believe its my hard drives, because I have strings, woodwinds, and brass on separate WD Caviar Black 1TB drives. DP7 is also on a different drive than the samples. I've also tried messing with the multi-processing. I had it set to 16 but pulled it back to 8 and then pulled it back to 2 but it still creates the same result. I've also tried setting the DP7 pre-rendering to "All instruments in real time" but that didn't help either.
Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this and how I may fix it?
Thanks
ea
