Dear VSL Team,
I was wondering if you could check on something for me. I've noticed a problem with the VST Expression in Cubase on the Mac Pro 8-core (Snow Leopard) and need to verify if it is a Cubase or VE Pro issue. I'll explain.
I've set up all my instruments with the same keyswitch configuration. The main matrix I start using C-1 and the secondary keyswitch, I use c-0. (C-2 & C-1 in Cubase). In the VST Expression maps, I always have a sustain patch in the first slot (i.e. c-1, c0). I've set up my percussion instrument using the same scheme. It all appears to work fine except I've noticed that if I have (manually) selected another patch in the matrix with the mouse (i.e. c-1, c3 for example), when I play the sequence, the c3 patch sounds even though in the sequence, it has requested C0.
The only way I've been able to get the c1 patch to work correctly is before the first note, select some other patch such as C-1, c4 then C-1, c0. I've even tried triggering the patch a whole measure before the passage is suppose to play and it still responds the same way. It's like I have to trigger something other than C-1,c0 before I can use c-1, c0.
I hope I didn't confuse you but was hoping that your team would try this and see if you get the same results on the Mac and Cubase?
Thanks....
