  • Need help, Build 4536, missing menu?

Greetings, I am really struggling to get things to work correct. Regardless 32 or 64 bit, nowhere in the preferences I am presented with an option to tell VPro where to find my plugins. My Kontakt 3.5 installation is in Applications/Kontakt3 However, it does not show in 64 bit. What am I missing? Thanks!

  • Click Preferences in the server.

  • Hi DG, thanks for looking at it. Well, starting preferences of 64 bit sever, does not give me that option. I have three tabs in there, GENERAL, AUDIO and MIDI, but no option to set a search path for plugins. Further reason for confusion, I just got an email from VSL stating that under Mac OSX the Kontakt GUI would still be 32 bit, hence unable to run as a 64 bit plugin. Having said that, also under the 32bit sever, although here I can start Kontakt, I have no option to add a search path for my plugins. Here I have four Tabs, whereby the last PLUGINS only shows me what plugins were found, but no option to add a path. Can you confirm that you have such Option under OSX? Thanks Georg

  •  Ah, I can't help you then, because I have a VST settings button (under General) .

  • Hi Paul Mac OSX 5.8, Cubase 4.5.2 VePro 4536 In no VePro application prferences I can set a VST path, there is no option in any of the tabs provided. If I can show screen shots here I gladly show you.

  • Hi,

I get it, sorry for the misunderstanding. VST plug-ins are not supported on OS X, "only" Au plug-ins, which you don´t have to assign, as VE PRO takes them from the default location at /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components.

    Best,

  • Dear Oceanviewstudio,

regarding your last e-mail and this thread: As my colleague mentioned, VST plug in´s are not supported and I sent you a mail in which I explained where to find the plug-in tab in Vienna Ensemble Pro.

    /Regards,

  • Hi Maya & Paul, yeah, misunderstanding, I thought I can/need to manually set a path as well. The situation re Kontakt I understand now as well. Thanks!
