  • Vienna Ensemble vframe file

Does anyone know how to set Vienna Ensemble Pro to automatically load a ".vframe" file on startup - instead of manually loading it?

It would be fantastic if I could just boot the Vienna Ensemble Pro slave computer - Vienna Ensemble Pro Server starts and the VE Pro file loads all my instruments and settings.

    Thanks for your input!

  • You use all the same settings, files and instruments for all projects and all songs?  It might be possible to automate this whole task through scripts etc but do you really want to always boot it up and then wait forever while it locates all your licenses, then loads all your samples even when you might be only working on a solo piano piece?

Seems like it would be annoying to me but each to their own lol :).  Sorry I don't know how to do what you're asking but maybe someone else will :).

  • Hi Maestro!

Thank you very much for your input. The solution to my problem wasn't very hard to find. I obviously just moved the vrframe file in the autostart folder.

I am working with large orchestral templates on the slaves. That's just my workflow.

    Thanks again,

    Jo :-)

  • Glad you found your solution :).  I actually thought about it after and there are times when it would be convenient but for me the few times I would use that many instruments, I don't want to waste 30 minutes of standing around while it loads them all just so I can play a solo piano piece lol.

But if I worked with huge orchestrations only, everyday I can see this being helpful (start it up, go get some food and coffee etc and come back ready for the work day).
