    Hi dear vsl team,


    When I open up the connector Plugin in Logic 9.0.1 or 8.0.2 it doesn't see any aviable slaves allthough the 32 Bit Server is running and has a Vienna Ensemble Instance added.

    When I do the same thing in Cubase the vst connector plug-in does see the server without no problem. Back to logic it doesn't. (I reinstalled everything, trashed all vsl preferences, repaired permissions, deleted the au plug-ins and the problem remains. Cubase imidiateley finds it Logic doesn't see any server. What could I do wrong ? I imagine it has to be something so obvious that I'll gonna lough ... hmmm

    By any chance is this a large Logic template?  I have tons of problems connecting to the server in Logic with large templates.  I have to delete any where from 1 to 12 EXS samplers and then suddenly it sees it.  I can then put them back but it is a pain and a lot times this causes Logic to just crash.  In a blank new Logic sequence i have no issues.

    hey dipmusic I hope and guess your Issue will be solved by the very great idea to implement a "disconnect" function in the "connector plug-in" so the size of the template shouldn't affect the V-Ensembles any more. (Hope so)


    Back to my porblem: It's more a basic one. I've got just 1 Instrument loaded for test reasons (Logic being empty) and never got it to even work in logic. yap. I guess that I subconciously intended to get your attention by excel ya all with my troubleshoot *lol*
    Just hope very much not having to create a new user or at least not having to reinstall a new system...

    Well after creating a new user everything works fine. So it defeniteley was something specific with my system.

    Do you mean a new user account?  Right now I am the Administrator, so are you saying the you made a new user account, i.e. "new user" and then logged in as that and it works?

    hey dplmusic, yes exactly. Simply making a new user account (which I gave Administrator Rights worked for me. But I don't think it would solve your problem because in your case you like to use many exs inside logic. A problem that I might become because I also like using many exs. If I should have the same problem I'll tell you. I guess the decouple function in the new update should solve the "many exs-Instances inside Logic" difficulties did you try that?
