Couldn't find another post on this, if there is, could someone help point me to it?
We have 2 studios with identical setups, each room has 1 8-core Mac Pro 10.5.7 10GB Ram (sequencer) + 8 Mac Minis (slaves)
Currently we use MIDI over LAN and then take the digital outs from the minis to a Format converter. Clearly VE Pro would be a welcomed change to our setup.
With MIDI over LAN we are able to pass Logic (8.0.2) sessions back and forth and because of the way that MOL works, the MIDI would be directed to the proper studios' mac mini slaves with no problem even though we are all on the same network.
Because VE Pro is being opened as a multi-timbrel instrument within logic, and being connect through the session, when the session is saved and passed from the "A" studio to the "B" studio, the B sequencer is still calling on the Studio A slaves.
Does anyone else work this way or have an experience with a mirrored setup like this? Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
