Hello,
I've run into a snag with VE Pro and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I'm running an instance of Kontakt 2 in VE Pro on my Daw machine w/ Logic 8.0.2 and OS 10.5.8, and can get it to play & record PERFECTLY! However, it will not playback what I recorded consistently UNLESS I keep the "record enable" button active on the tracks I've already recorded (sometimes it will playback without it being in "record enable mode," but eventually it will stop playing and the only way to get it to play again is to click the "record enable" button on a track). Obviously this isn't a work around, as I cant keep VE pro tracks record enabled all the time (in logic, you only record enable tracks you're going to record on) but I find it interesting how having record enabled will cause it to playback correctly everytime, yet once I turn it off it will not.
Everything runs PERFECTLY on my VSL only slave, when running Spectrasonics Omnisphere on my slave as well as on my DAW, so it seems to be a problem with VE Pro and Kontakt specifically. I dont know if this same problem would occur when running Kontakt on my slave (I cannot test it because I do not have Kontakt on the slave). But like I said, I have run Omnisphere fine on both a slave and on a VE Pro on my DAW computer, and it plays back everything correctly. I've tested this in both my autoload and a fresh Logic 8 song, and this problem occurs in both when playing/recording Kontakt.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? Is it a Kontakt preference or a VE pro bug? Would upgrading to Kontakt 3 fix this issue? Has anyone successfully got Kontakt 2 to work in a VE Pro instance on their Daw machine in Logic? Like I said above, it works GREAT if I keep the record enabled button on, but once I take this off Kontakt will no longer play. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
