  • VE Pro special set up question

    Hello

I have a question about a special set up with VE pro

My main Computer is a Mac Pro with Logic Studio
    i have 2 PCs Slaves
and a third one which is my mixing / summing computer with a  SonicCore Scope system

I would like to buy/use VE Pro but  it's appear i need to split the VE Pro server functions between 2 computers
    - My Mac pro needs to
1°) send Midi to control 2 slaves Pc and mixing automation in the Third PC
2°) send audio from some audio tracks and some Vi hosted in Logic

    - My third PC needs to:
1°) receive audio from 2 PCs and the Mac Pro
2°) receive midi from the Macpro for Mixing automations

I already have MidiOverLan and use Plogue Bidule as host in my 2 PCs
slaves (7 ADAT ports bring back audio in the third PC)

is it possible to use VE pro in this set up ?
    And how ?

Thanks a lot for your help

Folllowing this discussion and realizing the problems for Logic people, I just went ahead and implemented support for external midi ports while in server mode. Timing will not be as tight as when using plugin midi, and of course offline bouncing will not work - but otherwise it plays and works fine.

The next update will include this functionality.

To continue this discussion with myself, I have also found a way to get around the timing issues. Looks like this is a nice solution after all.

    Thanks!
