I downloaded the demo, opened it as a standalone, and set up my preferences. I then added 2 instruments.
Now I am supposed to "Preseve" so I will be able to address the instruments in Logic Pro 9.
However, unlike what the manual says, I see no "Preserve" icon, nor do I see "Preserve" in any of the menus.
OK, apparently you only Preserve in a plug-in, not a standalone.
OK, fine, forget about it. So I have the VE Pro open.
In the manual, it tells me to open VE Pro as a multi-output plug-in on a software instrument track and choose connect, which I do. The manual says, The Server Interface opens – click “Connect” and choose the Vienna Ensemble PRO instance of your choice."
I have an empty window when I do so.
