    Just wondering if anyone has any experience on whether VE Pro works better on OSX or Windows (Win7).

    I have a Mac Pro 8 core 2.8Ghz (Early 2008) with 8GB RAM (going to get more now that it is useful :). I have a dual boot set up either OSX or Win7 that I am going to use as a VE Pro slave to host both VSL VI's and Kontakt 3.5.

    VSL team, did you see any difference in performance between the two different OS's?

    it works more stable in mac os for me with kontakt 3.5.

    in windows 7 kontakt 3.5 and vsl ensemble pro is crashing my whole system

    I would go for a PC Windows 7 slave. It is snappier, faster and cheaper.

     I also get a blue screen with windows 7 and kontakt 3.5 after a while. This happens also when using kontakt standalone, so I guess it's a kontakt 3.5 problem. I just installed kontakt 4 and will try that now.

    Hi Ralf,

    did you find a solution for your problem running kontakt on windows 7? Do you also get a STOP 0x00000124 BlueScreen?

    Same problem with Kontakt 4. Everything is fine when not using Kontakt on the Windows 7 64Bit machine...

    Can others confirm this issue with Windows 7 / 64 Bit and Kontakt 3.5 ? Or is there anyone having success with this combination so far? (I'm planing to get Windows 7 on a slave for huge Kontakt use)

    Windows 7 x64 would be my first choice as well.

    Windows 7 64Bit is absolutely recommendable. The blue screen problem on my machine was most probably due to a setting in the RME 9652. Since I unchecked the WDM settings there was no further crash until now. In the meantime I switched to Kontakt 4.
