When I connect with any slave, I see 8 midi ports in DP per VE Pro instance - which is fine, but they all have the same port name i.e. "Vienna Ensemble Pro 1-xx" The "1" being that instance of VE Pro, the xx being the channel number. You have no distinction of which port 1 -8 you are on. So, you end up having the exact same midi name for port 1 channel 1 as you do port 7 channel 1 or port 8 channel 1. Besides being confusing it will also be an issue when you reload a session. How is the DAW going to tell which port is assigned to the correct tracks? Right now I have 2 VE Pro's coming in, one shows 8 "Vienna Ensemble Pro 2-xx" and the other 8 "Vienna Ensemble Pro 1-xx"
They should come up something like: "Vienna Ensemble Pro 1 1-xx, Vienna Ensemble Pro 1 2-xx" etc. (the first number being the instance number of the VE in your DAW, the second number being the port in that VE's slave, followed by midi channel 1-16.
Other than that - it's a great app, working well over here. Great job.
