Using one machine running a 32-bit version of Leopard, will VE Pro allow running two or more instances outside my sequencer? Currently, I can only load roughly 4GB of samples outside my sequencer with one instance of VE2 because it does not seem to allow multiple instances.

Hi Martin,
Do I understand you correctly that on my 2.66 Intel 8-core Mac with 32-bit Leopard 10.5.7 (i.e., not 64-bit Snow Leopard) and 16GB of ram, I can run two external VSL Pro server simultaneously (one 32-bit with just under 4GB of ram and one 64-bit with say 10GB of ram) along side my 32-bit sequencer (Digital Performer 7)?
In other words, a 32-bit instance will run up to 4 GB while a simultaneous 64-bit VSL server uses the rest if my installed ram (minus what is required for the sequencer and OS), all operating within a 32-bit OS or do I need Snow Leopard?

Q: Can I run the 32-bit (utilizing upto 4GB RAM) and the 64-bit (using the rest of available RAM) in parallel?
A: Yes. Regardless of sequencer.
Q: Do I need Snow Leopard to use the 64-bit version of VEP?
A: No. Leopard is a perfectly fine 64-bit capable OS.

Well, almost in... [;)]
Just a couple more questions:
1. Will the new eLicenser (new version of Syncrsoft) required for use of the 64-bit version of VE Pro run in (pre-Snow) Leopard OSX?
2. Is the update to Vienna Suite that will allow 64-bit operation still days (or at worse a couple of weeks) away?
