Sibelius 5: Now VE3 won't launch when I open a score

For some reason, VE3 will not launch when I open a score that uses VSL.  I have been having no problems with this at all up to now.  The other day, Sibelius crashed while I was away from my computer.  When I reopened the score, everything opened fine, and the dialog box came up asking if I'd like to switch to the playback configuration "yada yada." I said yes, and the score opened, but VE did not launch.  When I click on "show", the server interface appears and says "not connected."  If I try to connect, it shows no available slaves.

Can someone please help.  I'm guessing that it has something to do with the crash, since I haven't changed anything else.

Hello ozoufonoun_29353!

Did you start Vienna Ensemble Service? You will need that running in the background for Vienna Ensemble 3.

For some reason, I can't connect to the local host within the server.  Yes, I have already done this before. As a matter of fact, it's been working great.  For some reason it is not connecting now.  Is there some type of preferences that I need to trash or something after sibelius crashed? This problem only arose after a recent sibelius crash.

If you are working on a Mac, I recommend restarting your computer and repairing your disc permissions with the Directory Manager tool.
If you are working on a PC, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Vienna Ensemble.
