  • Automation in Ensemble (Sibelius)

Hi there is it possible to record an automation in VE concerning the velocity xfade or other parameters? Any help would be appreciated! balz

  • Hello Balz!

The Velocity xfade can be easily automated with your dynamic markings from the score. You will find out more about it in the Optimizing Sibelius playback manual.

All parameters in the Perform section of the Vienna Instruments can be automated with MIDI controllers.

  • hello Andi Thanks for your reply. Yes I know that the dynamic markings can be used as automation source, but is it also possible to do my expression simply with a hardware fader and then record the movement of the fader so that in playback the expression goes like I did by fader? best balz

  • Yes, that's also possible. Just assign your hardware fader to the fader in your Vienna Instruments player. Then you can record the fader movements directly in Sibelius.

  • ok, wonderful! But how can I record the fader movements in sibelius without deleting the existing notes in my staff? Sorry if I seem dumb ;) thanks! balz

  • Just record it to another voice. You can set that up in the Flexitime options menu.

    Andi
