    Apart from the MIR engine updates, when updating MIR does it mean that one have to download the whole room pack and reinstall all that once again? thanks

     No. In principle, the MIR-Engine and the RoomPacks are independant from each other.

    There may be occasions when an update of the engine _may_ require a modified version of the RoomPacks too, for example in case of new features which rely on a modification of the IRs data structure. These cases will be announced explicitly, though,
