    Is there a way for me to optimize by loading all the patches empty, without samples (an empty patch can be created by clicking the LEARN button and then OPTIMIZE immediately without playing), then playback my score in silence, and then ask VE to load only the needed samples. I find that when the LEARN option is selected VE reloads all the samples for the patch. I rather leave this function to the RESET option and let the LEARN option do the learning without reloading. Thanks.

    I don't use the optimize feature that much but when I do, I press Learn, play my piece, load up another matrix, play, load, if I'm short on RAM, then I optomize, load, etc.

    You're saying that it reloads all the samples after pressing learn again?

    I don't think there's a way to reverse engineer it but I could be wrong.
