  • Is it just me?

Probably like you, I have a ton of software by different companies. I visit their sites from time to time when things need to be updated or (inevitably) things go wrong. One thing that strikes me about the VSL website is that...er ....it's not very good. Not that it's graphics are bad or it doesn't contain the information that I need - it's just that I couldn't tell you if it did. I don't know. And I don't know, you see, because I can never find it!

I find this site a confusing nightmare to get around. Even buying something can stretch intuition to breaking point. Bizarrely elaborate pricing structures and options never fully explained etc. On other sites - Native Instruments or Spectrasonics for example I can find and compare and buy a product in less than a minute, I can find updates when I log in. On the VSL site I go round and round in circles wondering where the information I need is.

    Am I the only one?

  • I won't say it's only you but I will say that I don't share your same experience.  I find Kontakts website a pain in my ass as well as other sites I have to deal with.  Pianoteq and VSL are the friendliest sites to me for finding updates.  You simply go into your user area and everything you need for updates is there.  Because everything you buy they put a nice link for you there and you don't have to stare at all the crap you didn't buy or don't need.

I feel your pain because I feel that way about other sites, however I happen to really like how this sites setup (maybe I am just used to it but it makes sense to me the way it is).  The only gripe I have about this site is they don't provide us a way to share our settings with a user file sharing area.
