  • Percussion playback in Sibelius

    Hi

All channels, soundsets etc correctly set up. All non perc instruments playing back perfectly with all artics mute changes etc working

    Any advice/solution?

    Steve

  • Hello Steve!

    Normally this should work automatically.
Can you take another look at your manual sound sets page?

For the Tam-tam you need the Program "Cymbals". A note on the Tam-tam staff should then trigger the according note in Vienna Ensemble.

Also make sure, that the instrument you created is indeed a Tam-tam (not a cymbal, Percussion line, ...)

Beware of the Click! If not muted it can mess up an instrument. If you want to use the Click, reserve a
percussion channel for it (on the Manual Sound Sets page and in Vienna Ensemble).

    I hope that helps.

    Best wishes,
    Andi
