  • Problem with Convolution Reverb x64

I am a cubase user 5.0.1 and am having a problem with the Vienna Suite reverb. My computer runs Vista 64, and I believe what I am about to describe has always been a problem that I did not worry about. Essentially, when I try to load a preset, currently Beat's generously distributed ones, I hit the "load" button on the plug-in interface, and nothing happens. The button blinks like it recognizes my attempt, but no window opens.  Am I doing something wrong? Is there a different way to load his presets?

    Hope this is clear.

    Jay

  • Instead of the 'Load" button, use the "Open" button, located just below the word "Impulse" in the lower left area.   (If you've already loaded an impulse, it no longer reads 'Open'; instead it shows the name of the loaded impulse. I think if you load the Convolution Reverb from scratch, it shows "Open".)

    I hope this helps!

  • First, thanks for the response. However, I this method does not work either as it is unable to "recognize" the presets. The folder appears empty when I navigate to where I stored Beat's presets.

Does your load button "do nothing" like mine?

  • Jay,

    1. If you "Save' a setting, the "Load' button can load it.

    2. I had to look around to figure out how to use Beat's presets (thanks, Beat!) -

    see this thread:

so extract Beat's file/presets, then copy them to the location specified (for me, in Vista, it's AppData/Roaming/Vienna Suite Presets/VSL Convolution Reverb). (No need to add file suffixes). Then the "Load' button should find them (you may need to restart the Convolution Reverb plugin).

Hope that helps!  Just figuring it out taught me something. -)

  • Larry,

Thanks for the continued advice. Well, I did eventually find the correct folder to place the files in. All good now. Not sure how it kept missing it earlier.

    Best,
