    I just loaded the VSL Special Edition and now when I go to open it in PT 8.0cs2 LE it crashes Pro Tools.  It appears in the instrumetn track list but when I select it I get the spinning pizza of death... I've got a 2.66ghz Mac Pro Quad Core with 3 GB ram and a 250 GB external Hard drive.  

    I loaded the 56 GB sound library onto the internal Hard drive because all my other audio is recorded to the external drive... was this the correct way to do it?  Any insight would be much appreciated as I am totally new to VSL.  Thanks

     Are you loading Vienna Ensemble or Vienna Instruments?

    Can you load a standalone of either?

    I was able to open it stand alone...  vienna instruments

     always a good idea: reboot and repair permissions on your system volume (disk utility)

    I have already repaired permissions....  no luck

     well, beeing a PT noob ... isn't there such a thing like RTAS verification which could be triggered manually?

    alternatively remove the VI-component, reboot, re-install VI (in case it is damaged)
