well....
I'm having some serious trouble trying to work with VE2 when used as standalone or as a plugin. On startup , VE2 stays on "scanning content files" forever :(
I have to reboot the mac several times in order to make it work properly. Any issue ?
Mac Quad 2.66 OSX 10.5.6 and latest updates for VI and VE2

default reply: reboot, repair permissions on your system volume (disk utility), eventually validate VE manually in AU manager.
having a quick look into directory manager if file locations look conclusive wouldn't hurt ...
