    Just happened to notice that when I tried to load Final Cut Express just now, that the Audio Unit fails to validate the VSL Compressor .. it just hangs and doesn't do anything else. This only seems to happen when loading FCE .. I tried it with Soundtrack Pro and that has loaded the VSL suite without a problem. Also tried this on my G5 and my Macbook Pro .. so not sure where the fault lies exactly but if anyones using Final Cut and the Vienna Suite there may be a problem in loading the Plugins at the moment.

    If anyone knows a work around to get FCE to load properly I'd love to know it as I don't fancy having to uninstall the Vienna Suite every time I want to use FCE :P

    This was mentioned in a thread a couple weeks ago and confirmed by me here:

    It slipped a way.  I found if you simply remove the AU from the plugs folder it will work.  Just keep them around, because I had to put them back in order for the VSTs to work in Nuendo.

    I think it's a Final Cut problem.  That's the worst thing about that software is it's audio capabilities.

    Yeah I figured as much. After all the Audio Units work with everything else I have :P Time for Apple to be updating their software you'd think. Thanks for confirming this bug.
