    I might have a problem....

    5 days ago:   Purchased SE standard+extended.  Purchased VE3. 

    2 Days ago:  Purchased Appasionata Strings I

    Yesterday:  I have a G5 as my DAW, and I ran SE on VE3 on a macbook pro with 4GB ram.  Couldn't load up all the instruments I really wanted in my template...  Realized when my Appasionata strings come, I'm really not going to be able to load everything in my ideal template...   (future visions of epic horns, and fanfare trumpets....)

    Today:    Bought a slave PC, core i7, 16GB ram.....

     yep, air can get thin on a macBook 4GB (i remember it has been even tough to load the special edition demo) - however getting an intel based computer is always a good idea at the current state of affairs (be it mac or PC)

    an i7 is the best choice currently (value for money) ... 16GB is *uneven* though ... 3 x 4 or 6 x 2 = 12 GB ... consider the i7 (X58 chipset) has a triple channel memory bus

    yep you're right.    I actually only got 12GB of RAM....   6x2...   I asked them to max out the slots, but didn't realize there were only 6 slots, not 8..
