Hi - I fear that my external hard drive is about to 'die' since it's making extremely loud buzzing noises. A little research in the 'net showed that this one -LaCie d2 Quadra ( 500 GB ) is known for this.
So I need to replace it .......... and am wondering which HD's you have good experience with. I have the VSL SE + Ivory on it, and intend to add some Single Instruments.

for copying formatted text to the editor window you can use the *insert from word* feature which removes disturbing formatting.
the LaCie drives are usually very reliable ones - just have a crucial look at the housing if it allows sufficient cooling for extensive use, what sample streaming indeed does ...
