  • hello vienna users. please read my thread!1

hello. im a current user of East West symphonic orchestra. iv bin fiddling around with it for quite a while and i dont seem to be happy with the resutls. couple of reasons is because the instruments come out of the box really WET as in to much reverb especially on the double bass, which i hate to much reverb on low end audio. my mixes end up muddy... and there are alot of issues in my opinion that i probably shouldnt menchin here. anyway. i was investigating a solution ot my reverb issue and others.... i found that vienna has dry samples and you can choose the panning and amount of reverb you want on the instruments. having full control of sound is really important to me especially sinse i have love for string orchestras and big sounding percussion. finally.. im really into composing for games.. the type i make is really emotional stuff.. mosly sad and dark you get the idea. i was wondering if anyone who uses this or anyone from vienna could tell me if this will suite wat i want. i have listened to the demos and watche stuff on you tube and im impressed. i particuly love the adagio for strings remake on the VSL site!!! thats similar emotion to wat i like. i aslo checked out symphobia but you dont have full control. Ps. if so.. wat product is the best? special edition standard and extended?? im up to save for big libaries and articulations. please somebody reply... i want to get to the bottom of this so badly and get composing again:(

  • Welcome Danjay,

Thanks for your interest in our products!

You wrote: "[...] there are alot of issues in my opinion that i probably shouldnt menchin here" ... our forum rules are _very_ liberal, so you can always try to mention something (as long as you are ready to take the answers ;-D ...).

Just one thing: All our forums are monitored very carefully, so it doesn't make sense to open the same thread three times. I will close this one. Let's continue the discussion here:
