Opinions and tips for this 2 pieces

Hi I'm new here :) I made this little pieces and need more tips - to make them sound better and maybe a comment to the composition. the first was made to test the VSL, so there are a lot of diffrent parts in this 3.5 minutes. I red some topics here and some of them often talked about the "deep" (next to pan) of instruments. I don't know how to give them a realistic deep. I wonder if this is really necessary? the second is just a little piece for string quartett instrumentation.
