  • Vienna SE-Sibelius 5-Nuendo 4

    Hello,

I am a Vienna SE & Nuendo 4 user in W-XP. Now I am thinking of buying Sibelius 5, because I find the score editor of N4 is nightmare.

So what I would like to know is, in terms of mixing, what functionality (reverb, EQ, etc) is available in Sibelius, and how easy is exporting files of Sibelius made with VI-SE, to adjust the mixing and may be to get a better sound.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Francisco.

  • Hi Francisco!

The mixing possibilities in Sibelius are rather basic, but at least you can integrate VST and AU (on Mac) plugins.
Of course it's possible to export MIDI files with Sibelius, which you can import with Nuendo then. If you use the Special Edition sound set as Playback Device during export, you will have Keyswitches and MIDI Control data also written in the MIDI file.

    Best wishes,
    Andi
